Doug has over twenty-five (25) years experience in finance, turnaround management, direct private equity investing, owning, and operating lower middle market businesses.
Currently, Doug is a principal of Delta Partners LLC, an Annapolis, Maryland based Private Equity Fund. Delta Partners focuses on buyouts of lower middle market companies operating in basic manufacturing industries that require operational turnarounds and/or financial restructuring.
Doug is co-founder of D&B Industrial Group www.dbindustrialgroup.com a Georgetown, Delaware based group of manufacturing companies.
Along with his business partner and brother, D. Brooke Kinney, Doug has been directly involved with identifying potential acquisitions, structuring of and writing more than twenty (20) letters of interest since 1998. D & B completed six (6) acquisitions between the years 1999 and 2008 while successfully turning around each company.
Doug sits on the Board of ANR Partners, Inc., FBK Partners, Inc., TPI Partners, Inc., Rowe Industries, Inc. He is a Graduate of The Vanderbilt University School of Mechanical Engineering, a former member of The Baltimore / Washington Young Presidents Organization and a current member of The Chesapeake Chapter World Presidents Organization. Doug and his wife Elizabeth are Co-Chairs of the "Campaign for Shelter" a fund raising organization for Annapolis Area Ministries providing Shelter for chronically and "foreclosed" homeless families.
